Meet Maria: She embodies the soul of Framar, and still provides the strong foundation for the company today. For the first 20 years, she was a one-woman show, running everything from production and sales, to packing each order by hand. Some 35 years after taking a leap of faith and creating this company, Maria is still at the helm today, serving as company President and remaining intricately involved in all things Framar.

How did we get our start?

Maria created Framar out of the back of her husband Frank’s salon in 1986, becoming the first in Canada to create foil made specifically for hair stylists.

Great Stability – The highlight board features a slight curve on two sides to better suit head shape and a handle that allows for comfort and stability. This allows you to work as closer to the client’s head as possible.

Just pull the hair you want to color over the board to get a firm foundation to paint on, since it has a grooved side for gripping the hair and pulling it tight so you can get an easy, straight section of hair for applying color or bleach.
